This dinosaur was probably on the order of 26 feet (8 meters) in length. This approximation is based on the specimens collected. The only known specimen of Becklespinax is a set of three articulated dorsal vertebrae. This specimen comes from Wealden of Battle, England. Found in 1884 by the fossil collector Samuel H. Beckles. The fossils are believed to have been from the Early Cretaceous. The neural spines of these vertebrae are elongate, they are often compared to those of Spinosaurus aegypticus, but they bear no similarities.
