Leaellynasaura lived during the Early Cretaceous Period, about 106 million years ago in what is now Victoria, Australia. Dinosaur finds from the Dinosaur Cove in Victoria, Australia, are incomplete skeletons. Many of these remains have been jumbled together from different types of dinosaurs. Must of these finds belong to small dinosaurs that were closely related to Hypsilophodon.

Leaellynasaura amicagraphica

The material that has been found so far on Leaellynasaura is incomplete, but from its fossilized remains we can tell that it was a small dinosaur. Leaellynasaura would have weighed no more than 2 pounds, and it may have been from a juvenile. The fossilized Leaellynasaura skull is still partly encased in rock.
