Enigmosaurus was a herbivorous bipedal dinosaur, in the family Therizinosauridae. This dinosaur belonged to the late Cretaceous Period, about 95 million years ago in what is now Mongolia, central Asia. It reached up to 30 feet (7 meters) in length, with a height of 10 feet (3 meters) and a weight of 2,000 pounds. The type species, Enigmosaurus mongolensis, was described by Barsbold and Perle, in 1983 by the unusual shape of its pelvis.
