Neovenator is related to the Allosaurus of North America, but Neovenator was more lightly built. Neovenator's skull contained razor sharp teeth that were two inches long. Its claws were five inches long. It also had long powerful legs, Neovenator would have been able to move about swiftly. Neovenator was named in 1996, it was the first member of the allosaur family identified in England. Its skeletal remains were found on the Isle of Wight, England. Neovenator may have hunted the large herbivore Iguanodon.
