Bagaceratops rozhdestvenskyi lived during the Late Cetaceous Period in what is now Mongolia. It was a small, early horned dinosaur. Bagaceratops had a small frill with small openings over its neck. This dinosaur was small in relation to other similar early horned dinosaurs. Skulls of this dinosaur were discovered in the Gobi Desert during the 1970s by a joint expedition composed of Mongolian and Polish scientists. The type and only species, B. rozhdestvenskyi, was named in honor of the Russian paleontologist A. K. Rozhdestvensky.
