Hypsognathus

Hypsognathus lived during the Triassic Period 210 million years ago in what is now North America. It measured 1 foot (30 inches) long. Hypsognathus moved on all fours, in a squat position. Hypsognathus was probably a slow mover. It had bony spikes that grew from the side of its head. Hypsognathus may have used these spikes to defend against predators. Hypsognathus had peg like teeth which were at the back of its mouth. It was a herbivore.
